Puerto Vallarta Fishing Report: August

Good day, fishermen. Captain Pete here, coming to you straight from the heart of Banderas Bay with your official August 2026 Puerto Vallarta fishing report! Late summer is officially peaking, and the fishing action across our Pacific playground is as hot as the August sunshine. Water temperatures are hovering right in the sweet spot between 82°F and 86°F, fueling non-stop feeding frenzies from the shallow shorelines out to the deep-water banks.

With 39 years navigating these coastal waters, our crew knows exactly where the fish are hiding and how to put you on them. We deliver top-tier tackle, uncompromised safety, and the best boats and prices in Puerto Vallarta. This month, our top five targets taking center stage are yellowtail, skipjack tuna, roosterfish, snapper, and mahi-mahi. read more
